The EVH Wolfgang is the production version of Eddie Van Halen's own design, offered in USA and Special import tiers with EVH humbuckers.

Why it matters
The Wolfgang was drawn around playing comfort, with a slim profile and a contoured top, and most versions carry a double-locking tremolo. The Special tier brought the outline into an entry price band, which widened its reach far beyond the signature market. Wood choice, hardware and pickups separate the tiers more than the shape does.
