Why it matters
The MH series is the ESP-owned brand's take on the carved-top superstrat, and it covers a wide price spread from beginner instruments to the MH-1000 at the top. The bolt-on neck and shallow body carve make it comfortable for lead playing, and the higher models add the hardware and pickups found on the more expensive ESP guitars. It is the practical entry point to the ESP shape language.
Note
Bolt-on superstrats (MH-1000 flagship).
Specifications
- Scale length: 647.7 mm (25.5 in)
- Neck shape: Extra Thin U
Before you buy
- The model number on the headstock sets the level, and specifications differ sharply between them
- Cheaper versions use different woods and hardware than the MH-1000
- Setup on the cheaper models varies and often needs attention
