Why it matters
LTD's 1000 series is the head of the import range, and the M-1000 tops the sharpest-bodied line within it, listing at $1,399. At that price it competes with other neck-through superstrats rather than with bolt-on instruments, and the construction is the reason. Players come to it for the neck-through build and the deep cutaway access the M body provides.
Note
The neck-thru flagship of the M line.
Specifications
- Scale length: 647.7 mm (25.5 in)
- Neck shape: Extra Thin U
Before you buy
- Neck-through construction makes a headstock break a more serious repair than on a bolt-on
- Check which pickup set the specific version ships with, since that varies
- Sharp body shapes sit differently on a strap, so try standing with one
