The Peavey 5150 and 6505: tube heads designed with Eddie Van Halen, introduced in 1992, and the high-gain amps the brand is known for.
Why it matters
It is the 1992 model the later Peavey high-gain heads follow: the 6505+ is the refreshed version and the 5150 III the modern one. The rest of the current range is combos — the Classic 30, Bandit and Delta Blues — plus the JSX/Triple XXX line.
