Watch
Guitar World's video covers the Decade Too through the tones Josh Homme is known for, and Andertons' video demonstrates the amp with that as the reference.
Why it matters
The original Decade is the small practice amp associated with Josh Homme's recorded tone, and the reissue keeps the 10W TransTube solid-state circuit and the 1x8 in Celestion speaker. What is new for 2025 is the practical side: footswitchable Normal and Saturation channels, a buffered effects loop, Bass and Treble boost switches, and a transformer-balanced XLR speaker-sim DI with ground lift for recording without a microphone. A matching 1x8 extension cab lists at $149.99.
Note
Peavey reissued the 1980s Decade practice amp for NAMM 2025, the model Josh Homme has used since the 1990s, adding footswitchable channels, a buffered FX loop, boost switches and a speaker-simulated XLR DI for silent recording. The matching 1x8 extension cab lists at $149.99.

Before you buy
- 10W through a 1x8 is a practice-level amp rather than a gigging one
