Gibson EDS-1275
The Gibson EDS-1275 is a double-neck electric guitar carrying a twelve-string and a six-string neck, generally built to the shape of the SG and offered from the early 1960s. The arrangement lets a player move between the ringing twelve-string sound and the standard six-string without changing instruments, and it is controlled by separate volume and tone pairs for each neck with a selector to choose between them. It was used on stage by a number of prominent players, most famously in the folk-rock and hard rock repertoire, and it is a heavy instrument built for a specific stage purpose.
