Gibson J series
The Gibson J series is the family of jumbo and dreadnought flat-top acoustic guitars the company has produced since the 1930s, including the J-45, the J-50, the Hummingbird and the Super Jumbo. Instruments in the series are distinguished by body shape and decoration rather than by any single specification: the slope-shouldered models such as the J-45 give a warm, balanced tone, while the square-shouldered and larger instruments offer more volume and a broader low end. Taken together the line is one of the main traditions in American acoustic guitar making, and many of the models remain in production.
