Kossoff Burst
The Kossoff Burst is the sunburst Gibson Les Paul Standard of 1959 that belonged to Paul Kossoff, the guitarist of the English band Free. It is one of the small number of 1959 sunburst Standards, instruments made only in that year with a figured maple top and a particular set of specifications, which are among the most valuable production guitars in existence and the model for countless copies. Kossoff's instrument is known for the weight and sustain of its voice, and it is counted among the important individual guitars of the British blues boom.
