The Rhoads is the asymmetric V that Jackson developed around Randy Rhoads's design, and it remains the shape most closely tied to the brand for hard rock and metal players.

Why it matters
The original Concorde outline has been in production in one form or another since the early 1980s, and Jackson now offers it across the JS, Pro Plus and MJ tiers. That spread means the same silhouette is available at a few hundred dollars or several thousand, depending on where it is built and what hardware is fitted. Offset V shapes are awkward to play seated and need a fitted case, which is the trade-off the design has always carried.
