Why it matters
Pono is the workshop line built to Ko'olau's designs in Hawaii, and the MTD is its mahogany tenor in gloss finish. The Ukulele Site lists an MTD Mahogany Tenor Deluxe at $629. Pono also offers cedar and spruce-topped MT variants, so the wood named in the model code is the thing to check.
Note
Solid mahogany tenor, the entry to the Ko'olau workshop's line. Sold in both G-C-E-A and low-G.
