Why it matters
Masterworks is Alvarez's designation for all-solid construction, so the series marks the point where the brand moves past layered builds. That matters most for response and for how an instrument develops over years, which suits players who keep a guitar long term. Dreadnought and smaller bodies appear across the series with a spread of wood combinations.
Note
All-solid mid-tier parlor/dread line.
Specifications
- Scale length: 647.7 mm (25.5 in)
- Neck shape: unknown
Before you buy
- All-solid builds need humidity control
- Check the body size, as the series spans several
- Setup varies between examples, so a technician check is worthwhile
