Why it matters
Yairi sits above Alvarez's other acoustic lines, with construction by hand at the K. Yairi workshop in Kani, Japan. It gives buyers a route to a Japanese-built acoustic without moving all the way up to a small-builder commission, and the family name behind it goes back decades of production. Specification varies considerably between model codes, so the build sheet matters more than the badge.
Note
The handcrafted-signature flagship line.

Before you buy
- Model codes differ in body size and timber set, and the price follows, so compare build sheets
- Hand-built instruments vary slightly between examples, so play the exact guitar where possible
- Solid tops respond to humidity, so plan for stable storage
