Why it matters
Aristides builds its instruments from a moulded material rather than timber, and the 060 and 080 are the two extremes of its core range: a six-string single-cut and an eight-string. The appeal is stability, since the material does not move with humidity the way a wooden neck and body can, along with a resonance that players tend to describe as its own character. Pricing is quoted from the factory in euros and moves with the finish chosen, so there is no single list price to quote in dollars.
Note
The single-cut (060) and 8-string (080) variants.
Specifications
- Scale length: 647.7 mm (25.5 in)
- Neck shape: unknown
Before you buy
- Ordered direct from the factory, so quoted prices arrive in euros plus shipping and duties
- Finish choice changes the price noticeably, and raw finishes are the cheaper option
- Resale outside Europe is thinner than for a comparable wood-built guitar
