Watch
Tarpley Music's demo of the RB-115 plays the combo through its range, covering the Legacy preamp and Super Grit overdrive.
Why it matters
The ported cabinet uses a custom Lavoce 15 in speaker, and the Legacy preamp gives the B-15 and SVT-style voicing the Rocket Bass line is known for. Ultra Hi and Ultra Lo switches plus SGT overdrive cover the tone shaping, and a balanced XLR DI takes the signal to a desk for recording or front of house. At 34 lb it is manageable for regular gigging.
Note
The 200-watt 1x15 of Ampeg's Rocket Bass line, voiced with the classic B-15/SVT-style Legacy preamp and Super Grit overdrive. A popular mid-size gigging and recording combo with a ported Lavoce driver and full XLR DI.
