Why it matters
Eastman came out of orchestral instrument making and applied that training to electrics, which shows in fretwork and finishing. The SB59 is the single-cut most often compared with a Les Paul, and it undercuts a USA-built equivalent. The Juliet and SB56 extend the same thinking into other vintage outlines.
Note
Vintage-inspired solidbodies — the SB59 is the famous Les Paul alternative.
