Watch
Why it matters
The AC series occupies the gap between large-scale imports and small American builders, and the AC122-1CE's $799 list price is where that positioning shows most clearly. The line covers acoustic and acoustic-electric versions and more than one body variation, so the suffix after the model number matters more than the AC prefix. Eastman's output is smaller than the big factory brands, which affects availability as much as price.
Note
The 000/OM equivalent line.
Specifications
- Scale length: unknown
- Neck shape: Traditional Even C
Before you buy
- The -1CE and -2CE suffixes denote different trim levels, and Deluxe versions cost more again
- Body size differs across the AC range, so check before assuming a shape
- Setup quality varies between examples, so a fresh setup is worth budgeting for
