Why it matters
The ML2 was Chapman's own answer to the classic single-cut, and it has stayed in the range for a decade with revisions along the way. It is a straightforward instrument: a familiar outline, modern hardware and a specification aimed at players who want a working guitar rather than a replica. It sits in the middle of the import market alongside the better-known budget brands.
Note
The second shape in the platform trio.
Specifications
- Scale length: 648 mm (25.51 in)
- Neck shape: C Shape
Before you buy
- The Standard and Pro versions differ in hardware and price
- Earlier versions had different hardware to the current range
- Dealer stock varies, so a specific finish can be hard to find
