Fractal's smallest all-in-one modeller packs Axe-Fx III algorithms and DynaCabs into a four-footswitch pedal at $699.
Watch
G66's two videos cover the AM4 as an ecosystem and explain its inputs and outputs, and Frank Steffen Mueller plays a Gary Moore-style lead sound through it.
Why it matters
It runs the same Cygnus X-3 algorithms as the Axe-Fx III, with 240+ amp models, 45+ DynaCabs, 77+ drive models, 79+ reverbs and 150+ effects, in a unit weighing about 1.6 kg. Four footswitches with gapless four-channel amp switching, balanced stereo outputs, a stereo insert, S/PDIF, MIDI and 4x4 USB audio cover stage and studio use. At $699 it sits in the Line 6 HX Stomp and Neural DSP Nano Cortex price bracket, with a simplified "traditional amp and pedals" interface.
Note
Released 24 November 2025, the AM4 is Fractal's most affordable and smallest all-in-one unit, bringing Axe-Fx III-level modelling and DynaCabs to a pedalboard format for $699. It targets the Line 6 HX Stomp and Neural DSP Nano Cortex price bracket with a simplified 'traditional amp and pedals' interface.
