Watch
Why it matters
Warwick splits production between Masterbuilt, Teambuilt and Pro Series lines, which is why the same model name can carry very different prices. The Thumb's compact body and short upper horn give it a distinct balance and a tight, growling voice that has been widely imitated. Corvette and Streamer cover more conventional outlines without leaving the same tonal family.
Note
The growl-standard German basses.
Specifications
- Scale length: 863.6 mm (34 in)
- Neck shape: unknown
Before you buy
- the name alone is not enough — Masterbuilt, Teambuilt and Pro Series instruments differ significantly
- the Thumb's body shape takes adjustment on a strap
- German-made examples hold value better than the lower tiers
