Why it matters
Gretsch basses take their look from the guitar catalogue rather than following a separate bass tradition, which is why chambered bodies and Filter'Tron-style pickups recur across the range. Sweetwater lists the current Electromatic CVT medium-scale at $449.99, the accessible entry point. The hollow short-scale models come and go from the line and are harder to find new.
Note
Hollow and chambered basses with Filter'Tron-style pickups.
