Why it matters
The Penguin is the solidbody counterpart to the White Falcon: the same styling language in a much smaller body, priced at the top of Gretsch's production range. Vintage Select versions are period-styled reissues with TV Jones pickups and a Bigsby, which is what most buyers compare against older originals. The model is niche enough that stock moves through specialist dealers.
Note
White Jet deluxe with gold trim.

Before you buy
- Check which Penguin version is listed: Vintage Select, Custom Shop and limited runs differ widely
- Bigsby-equipped models add weight and need setup care
