Why it matters
Eko was one of several Italian makers that supplied European players during the post-war years with distinctive, affordable electrics. Those instruments have a thin, wiry voice and a look that differs sharply from American designs of the same period. There is no current list price, because the instruments are long out of production and change hands between collectors.
Note
Italy's beautiful post-war exports.
Specifications
- Scale length: 628.6 mm (24.75 in)
- Neck shape: shallow D
Before you buy
- no list price applies — value tracks condition and originality
- parts are hard to source, so repairs take time
- electrics on old European instruments often need rewiring
