The Steve Vai signature superstrat, identified by its monkey grip and vine inlay, built for players who want a fast neck and a floating tremolo.

Why it matters
The JEM has stayed in production longer than most signature models and sits at the top of Ibanez's signature range. Current versions keep the general layout of the originals, with the most expensive builds coming from the Japanese shops. It is one of the few artist models that has kept a clear identity through decades of revisions.
Note
Steve Vai signature: monkey grip, vine inlay, Universe-descendant; the shred icon.
