An 800-watt hybrid head with a three-12AX7 all-tube preamp, in a 6.5 lb chassis.
Watch
AMP's gigging test runs the head in a live setting, and Deadbeat Studios' hands-on demo is a shorter tone sample of the same amp.
Why it matters
The preamp is all-tube, with a four-band active tube EQ and a tube-driven overdrive offering drive, level and edge controls. Bump, contour and presence filters handle voicing, and the balanced XLR DI switches between pre and post EQ for the signal you send to a desk. The load selector covers 2, 2.7, 4 and 8 ohms, so most bass cabinets can be connected directly.
Note
GK's high-end hybrid gigging head, pairing a three-12AX7 tube preamp with an 800-watt Class D output in a 6.5 lb chassis. Its footswitchable tube-overdrive and load selector make it a go-to for players wanting vintage warmth with modern weight.
