Why it matters
Neither model is in production now, and Guild builds its USA jumbo as the F-55, which the company describes as the former F-50R. Guitar Center lists the F-55E at $4,699.99, giving a current reference for what a US-made Guild jumbo costs. Buying into the F-47 and F-50 names is a used-market exercise, where condition and repair history set the price.
Note
Guild's signature jumbos, favored by singer-songwriters.
Specifications
- Scale length: 647.7 mm (25.5 in)
- Neck shape: “C” Shape
Before you buy
- Everything is secondhand; production ended decades ago
- Jumbos of this age often need a neck reset
- Westerly-built examples attract the strongest prices
