Watch
Why it matters
The Duo-Sonic started life as a student instrument and has been revived periodically, most recently within the Player range. Its 24-inch scale makes bending easier and the whole guitar is lighter than a Stratocaster, which suits younger players and anyone with smaller hands. It has been reissued with both single-coil and humbucker bridge layouts, so specifications vary between generations.
Note
Small-bodied short-scale model; 1956 origins, rebooted in the offset era.
