Studio 900 Combo (SN20C)

A 20-watt, UK-built version of the JCM900 circuit in a compact 1x12 combo, for players who want that amp's gain at home and small-room volume.

Watch

Music for Miles' clip 'This 20W Marshall Sounds HUGE!' plays the combo at volume, which is the quickest way to judge whether 20 watts and a single 12-inch speaker are enough for your room.

Why it matters

The Studio Series puts the JCM900 circuit into a 20-watt package with two footswitchable channels, spring reverb and an effects loop. Power reduction drops it to 5W and then under 1W, so one amp covers a small gig and a bedroom. It is built in Bletchley, UK, with 2x ECC83 preamp valves, 2x 5881 power valves and a Celestion G12T-75. Premier Guitar lists street pricing at $1,499 for the combo and $1,299 for the head, against $1,599.99 MSRP.

Note

A 20W UK-built JCM900 in the compact Studio Series format, launched for NAMM 2025 in 1x12 combo and head versions. Two footswitchable channels, spring reverb, an effects loop and power scaling down to under 1W. Premier Guitar lists street pricing at $1,499 for the combo and $1,299 for the head, against $1,599.99 MSRP.
