A 40W stereo combo whose amp models, effects and backing tracks all live in an app — the amp the Spark range is named after.
Watch
Guitar MAX works through the amp models and the app features while playing, so you hear what the two 4-inch speakers actually do at room volume.
Why it matters
It is the original Spark and the model the range takes its name from, sitting above nothing and below nothing in the line: the Spark GO and Spark Mini are the same idea in smaller, battery-powered boxes, and BIAS FX and BIAS Amp 2 are the plugin side of the same tone engine. Everything it does is app-driven, so its useful life is tied to Positive Grid continuing to support the Spark app rather than to the amp alone. Positive Grid's own spec sheet is unusually complete for this class, which is why the figures above are worth reading before comparing it with a plain practice combo.
Note
A 40-watt stereo modeling combo with two 4-inch speakers, 33 amp models and 43 effects built in, driven from the Spark app over Bluetooth or USB.

Before you buy
- 40W through two 4-inch speakers — a room amp rather than a stage amp
- the amp models, effects and backing tracks live in the Spark app, so a phone or tablet is part of the rig
- the Spark GO and Spark Mini are the same idea in smaller battery-powered boxes if portability matters more than headroom
