Why it matters
Solar was founded by a player with a following in the metal market, and the range is built around a short list of shapes sold largely direct. Type A and Type S cover the two outlines, and bridge options include Evertune and Floyd Rose units. Because most sales are direct, prices stay consistent and dealer discounts are rare.

Specifications
- Scale length: 647.7 mm (25.5 in)
- Neck shape: C Solar
Before you buy
- Bridge choice changes both price and setup requirements
- Extended-range models use longer scales, so check the code
- Direct sales mean fewer chances to try before ordering
