Why it matters
The series exists for players who do not want another Strat or Tele, using shapes drawn from Fender's back catalogue and Squier's own history. Prices stay in the entry band, which makes an unusual layout a low-risk experiment. The models share almost nothing beyond the badge, so each has to be judged on its own specification.
Note
Offbeat Fender-family designs (Cyclone, Baritone Cabronita, Rascal Bass) at budget prices.
