Why it matters
The Casino has moved in and out of the Epiphone catalogue for decades and remains one of its most recognisable models. Because the body is fully hollow and the pickups are P-90s, it feeds back more readily than a semi-hollow but has a responsive, open sound that suits clean and lightly driven playing. It is the affordable route to the shape, against the Gibson versions at several times the price.
Note
Thin fully-hollow with P-90s; famous via The Beatles (1966) and John Lennon.
