The Fatoumata Diawara SG is an Epiphone signature model for the Malian singer-songwriter and guitarist, finished in Ember Red with artwork drawn from Malian design.

Why it matters
Most Epiphone signatures reproduce a rock artist's own instrument; this one is a new design with its own finish and graphic rather than a copy. The specification follows the standard SG template, a mahogany body with a Custom C neck, so the appeal rests on the artwork and the artist rather than unusual hardware. It also brings a West African name into a signature programme that has been heavily Anglophone.
Note
The Malian singer-songwriter's signature SG.
Specifications
