Why it matters
The PIA77BON2 is a small-run version of Vai's signature model, decorated with gold leaf rather than a standard paint finish, which places it far above the regular PIA in price. It keeps the same 648 mm scale and PIA neck profile as the production instrument. Numbers are limited and allocation is uneven, so pricing is set by whichever dealers receive stock.
Note
Updated PIA with hand-painted gold leaf body art.
Specifications
- Scale length: 648 mm (25.5 in)
- Neck shape: PIA
Before you buy
- priced well above a standard PIA for what is largely a finish upgrade
- limited numbers mean listings appear and vanish quickly
- confirm which case and accessories come with the instrument
