Why it matters
These belong to the wave of Japanese copies that reshaped the lower end of the market in that period, and the Super Real and Mint Collection years are the ones collectors ask for. With nothing in production, every purchase is a used-instrument purchase, judged on the originality of pickups, hardware and finish. They remain a cheaper route to a vintage-style single-cut than the American originals.
Note
Superb LP replicas with U-3000 humbuckers; the "Mint Collection" era is prized.

Before you buy
- Model codes and eras differ widely, so identify the exact series first
