Watch
Why it matters
The FG line is what established Yamaha acoustics in the mid-1960s, and the FG9 is the current flagship of that family, sitting well above the Red Label and standard FG models on price and materials. The anniversary version was built in a limited run with commemorative detailing, a certificate and a hard case, which puts it in collector territory as much as player territory. Yamaha's acoustic pricing has moved steadily upward, so limited editions tend to keep their premium longer than standard models.
Note
Sixty years of the FG line honored with a special edition.
