Why it matters
The NexG belongs to a newer group of instruments that put amplification, effects and an audio interface inside the guitar itself. That makes it a self-contained practice and writing tool rather than a traditional acoustic, and it suits players who move around or need to work quietly. It competes with the other smart guitars rather than with conventional acoustics.
Note
The self-contained smart guitar with everything onboard.
Specifications
- Scale length: unknown
- Neck shape: unknown
Before you buy
- The electronics define the instrument, so battery life and app support matter
- Repair options for a composite body differ from a wooden guitar
- The built-in speaker is not a substitute for an amplifier in a band
