G&L's Comanche, the double-cut bolt-on designed around the Z-3 pickup set, now out of production.

Why it matters
The Comanche used G&L's three-coil Z-3 pickups on a double-cut bolt-on platform. G&L ceased production in 2025, and the lower-priced Tribute version has gone the same way, so this entry records no current list price and the model now trades secondhand. Dealer inventory that remains unsold is the other route in.
Note
Z-3 pickups version of the S-500 platform.
Specifications
- Scale length: 647.7 mm (25.5 in)
- Neck shape: medium C
Before you buy
- Production ended in 2025, so stock is secondhand or dealer inventory
- Tribute and USA versions differ in build and price
- the Z-3 pickups have their own voice, worth hearing before committing
