Nash's aged S-type line, with the S-57, S-63 and S-67 each following a different era of the design.

Watch

YouTube video Normans Rare Guitars · 2020-03 — Norman's Rare Guitars plays and talks through a Nash S-57 Stratocaster.

Why it matters

The S models are the other half of Nash's core business alongside the T-types, and they follow the same idea: a lightly aged instrument built to feel used from the first day. The numbers refer to the era being replicated, so the differences between them sit in the details rather than in the shape. Nash works through dealers rather than selling direct, so what is available and what it costs depends on which shops carry the line.

Note

Aged Strat replicas by year.

Specifications

  • Scale length: 647.7 mm (25.5 in)
  • Neck shape: Thin C

Before you buy

  • Aging level is a choice, and heavy relic work is difficult to undo
  • Confirm the specification with the dealer, since these are built in batches
  • Weight varies between examples, so ask for the figure before buying sight unseen
