Why it matters
Tyler's guitars are built to order in California and are known for their finishes, neck shapes and onboard midboost preamp. The Studio Elite is the model that carries most of that range: a familiar bolt-on layout with Tyler's own pickups and electronics. It competes with other US boutique makers rather than with production lines, which is reflected in both the price and the buying process.
Note
The flagship: many finishes, midboost preamp, unmistakable headstock.
