Why it matters
These belong to the same market as other European archtops of the period and are usually weighed against hollow-bodies from the American makers. Originality of pickups, hardware and finish matters more to value than colour, and parts are harder to source than for the big US brands. They suit players after a hollow-body voice that is not a Gibson or a Gretsch.
Note
Golden-era German archtops.
