Why it matters
American Vintage II covers a range of models rather than one guitar, each built to match the specification of a specific year, from necks and pickups to hardware and finishes. Fender's own site lists the 1961 Stratocaster at $2,499.99 as one example, and every model in the series is priced separately. Because there is no single list price for the series, this entry records none.
Note
Historically accurate reissues of 1950s–70s models with period-correct specs.
Specifications
- Scale length: unknown
- Neck shape: unknown
Before you buy
- No single series price; each model is priced on its own
- spec accuracy is the point, so period details differ by year
- other Fender lines cover similar shapes at lower prices
