Sol Jacob Umansky Signature 5-string

A five-string fan-fret signature bass from Dingwall's Ready To Play line, based on Intervals bassist Jacob Umansky's Custom Shop Z.

Why it matters

The 34–37-inch multi-scale layout keeps string tension even across the low B and the upper strings. The electronics are a full active package: three Dingwall FDV pickups, a Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp, a four-position Quad-Tone pickup selector and a push/pull active/passive switch. The body is alder with a bookmatched ash top, on a five-piece maple bolt-on neck with a wenge fingerboard. It was launched in 2026 and is listed at $3,145 as of September 2026; a six-string version of the model is also offered.
